Workshop Cultural Economics: Markets,
Institutions and Development will be held in Paris
the 30th of June and the 1st of July 2006.
Sponsored jointly by ADRES, CEPREMAP, IZA and PSE.

Overview
Interactions between culture and economics have recently become a top
research agenda in economics. Culture might influence important economic
outcomes such as employment, economic development and welfare states.
Conversely cultural values might endogenously evolve with the economic
environment, raising new issues in public policies.
The aim of this workshop is to gather key contributions analyzing these
interplays between culture and economic outcomes and looking at their
policy and welfare implications.
